NOLAND – The Nolandish Democratic Justice Party, led by its president, Horatio Eden, is rapidly expanding its membership.
Prince John V, the head of state of the country, announced that he would be shutting down his party, the Monarchy Party, and throw in with the DJP, noting that “One if [sic.] my goals is to make Noland more democratic.”
He referred to the role of Prince in Noland as “training wheels”, before stating officially that “I’ve decided to join the Democratic Justice Party and dissolve the Monarchy Party. My brother, the other member of the Monarchy Party, has also communicated to me his decision of leaving the Monarchy Party to join the Democratic Justice Party.” He went on to say that “I almost forced Stephen [Wang]… to make the People’s Party to be a democratic opposition [sic.] to the Monarchy Party so when I see him he’ll almost definately want to disband the People’s Party (which he’s expressed interest in doing already) and join the Democratic Justice Party.”
This news will come as music to Horatio Eden’s ears, who is now three steps closer to controlling a majority of the Nolandish Congress. With the addition of the Prince, Stephen Wang and the Prince’s brother, the DJP now controls – or will control – four seats in Congress, putting them two seats away from an overall majority.
It remains to be seen whether this sudden boost in membership will be followed by more Congressmen throwing in with Eden’s party, though as of now, the DJP is the single largest party in Noland. Horatio Eden’s office declined to comment.
