Democratic Union House of Representatives passes Treasury Act

DEMOCRATIC UNION OF BRITISH STATES (DM) – Democratic Union Lord President and Edenopolitical monarch Horatio Eden signed into law the Treasury Act at 1:28 AM UTC today, establishing the Democratic Union’s Treasury, as well as the currency of the nation and design thereof.

The Treasury Act, numbering a total of 647 words, creates the Department of the Treasury, the British Crown (which the Act goes to great pains to insist refers to the DU coinage of the same name rather than the headwear of the sitting monarch of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth) and sets the general designs for each.

The C£1 note is to bear the face of Alexander Hamilton, first U.S. Treasury Secretary, while the C£5 note will adorn itself with the visage of fourth St.Charlian President, Alexander Reinhardt; C£10 will bear Prime Minister Winston Churchill, C£20 Emperor Jonathan I of Austenasia, C£50 Edward Stenbach, seventh Major Executive of the Universal Triumvirate, and C£100 Lord President Horatio Eden.

The Act also authorises the coinage of C£200, which will go ahead as soon as the designs for the new currency are finalised.

Horatio Eden is Editor-in-chief of the Daily Micronational and Lord Executor of Valdsland. Mostly known for running a Minecraft let's play channel with two subs, which is the only organization he allows to advertise on the site.
